Sometimes We Restrict Ourselves…
When I brought up this site and started writing articles on it, I found myself to have already bound myself to a single concept and idea. Originally a lot of the drafts I have created and the articles I have published have been technology related. However as time went on, I found interesting current events that I wanted to comment or react to in this space. Being locked in to a single concept of technology tips and tricks prevented me from doing so.

Not-So-Modern Warfare: The Death of Dedicated Servers
I need to take a moment to write a bit about a recent event that has struck close to home with me. That event was the announcement of Infinity Ward taking away the Dedicated Servers from Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). If you have not fallen out of your chair yet then you a) do not grasp the situation at hand or b) are not a PC gamer (which is fine). If you do not know what is going on then here is a quick overview about this new death of Dedicated Servers, and why it matters.

I Have a Co-Op!
All University of Louisville Speed School engineering students participate in a five year program. As a student of this program, I must complete three semesters of co-op work within the five years of year-round engineering education. So instead of going to classes, for a given semester I spend the entire time working in an engineering position of my field. That way when I complete my education in five years I’ll leave with not only a Master’s of Engineering, but have one year of work experience in my field. Since the beginning of my Fall 2009 semester I have interviewed with many companies in the hopes that I will get an offer for co-op. Today I finally locked in my co-op position with a company here in Louisville called FacilityOne.
